Restaurant Staff

We are looking for two people to join our small, friendly team - the Berwick Lodge ‘family’. Berwick Lodge is an independent luxury hotel with 18 acres of gardens on the outskirts of Bristol, 10 minutes from Clifton. Access to a car is required due to the rural location.

Currently we're recruiting for full-time and part-time Restaurant Staff

The role

• Being helpful, warm and friendly as you serve guests.
• Serving in our fine dining restaurant which offers varied menus as well as a gastronomic Tasting Menu.
• Serving at weddings and high-end events.
• Duties include serving food an beverages, washing and polishing glasses. Ironing table cloths, setting tables, folding napkins.
• You will report to the Restaurant Manager and assist them in the smooth running of the Hattusa restaurant.
• You will gain knowledge of the fantastic menus and learn how the restaurant is run smoothly and efficiently.
• Supporting the management team.
• Dealing with customer feedback.
• There is potential for extra hours working in other departments such as housekeeping

Who is it for

This role is ideal for those who want to gain experience in hotels and are smiley and confident. You will need to think on your feet and be able to multitask. You must be able to work well as part of a team as well as on your own, taking initiative.

Previous experience is not necessary as full training will be given. However, above all, it is imperative that the applicant is consistently reliable, passionate about people and customer service and is enthusiastic about gaining experience.

Hours and Salary

Hours: 16 hours to include weekends. With potential for more hours for the Part-time role and 40 hours to include weekends for the full-time position.

Salary: £10 an hour + holidays + tips (approx. £200 a month), 2 nights a year complimentary stays including dinner for 2
